A classic wedding at its finest, Tori and Casey’s spring wedding captured true southern hospitality. The pair said “I do” at Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms, one of the most popular wedding venues in Alabama known for its sweeping gardens and historic charm. Every detail from the day was captured thoughtfully by local wedding photographers Katie & Alec Photography and wedding videographer Main Street Productions.

You could say that “something blue” was present throughout the wedding, with a soft shades of periwinkle blue and silver setting the color tone–even the white gold wedding rings from Diamonds Direct were nestled inside silver velvet ring boxes. From the sweet welcome boxes by Annabelle’s to the classic wedding monogram invitations by Gillreath Printing & Signs, a warm, welcoming spirit prevailed in every detail.

As Tori and her bridesmaids got ready for the day, Birmingham beauty team Elysian Studio styled everyone with natural wedding makeup and loose bridal updos tailored to their personal style. Tori selected figure-flattering bridesmaids dresses from Bella’s Bridal & Formal in the perfect blue hue for her friends, which complemented her Heidi Elnora wedding dress.

Our Birmingham bridal boutique is known for timeless wedding dresses, and that is exactly what Tori had in mind for her big day. She selected our Vivienne Beau modern ball gown wedding dress, which features a V-neck wedding dress neckline and full gathered skirt with pockets–yes, this is a wedding dress with pockets!

To personalize her classic wedding gown, Tori lengthened the train and removed the illusion back from the dress, transforming it into a wedding dress with open back. With inspiration from the bride herself, our designers created a custom wedding dress bow for Tori, which had a beautiful asymmetrical bow design and streamers for extra drama. Our brides love that they can make design tweaks to their wedding dress before production, as it allows us to tailor their dress design to their exact vision.

With a pair of crystal bridal earrings and embellished Badgley Mischka bridal shoes, Tori was ready to meet her groom at the altar. Casey wore a tailored navy blue tuxedo by Jos. A. Bank that brought an unexpected twist to the classic tux and allowed him to stand out fashionably from his groomsmen.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Pursell Farms, the Hamilton Place lake served as the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony. The aisle was flanked by a hand lettered sign by Gracefully Made Art and gorgeous florals by HotHouse Design Studio. The rustic wooden wedding arch was covered with additional greenery and white flowers for a grand, yet natural statement. After a lovely ceremony that included sweet family traditions and even a dove release, the wedding reception commenced.

The stately wedding reception invited guests to mingle both indoors and outdoors, which created an open and inviting atmosphere. The team of wedding vendors tied the spaces in beautifully with the ceremony, showcasing similar greenery and acrylic signage to personalize the grand wedding venue. We adore how local wedding planner Kendal Perry brought such a coordinated and classic wedding style to the space.

The centerpiece of the reception was the modern wedding cake by Dreamcakes Bakery, which was circled by an impressive ring of greenery designed by HotHouse. With a traditional southern buffet and live music by wedding band Even Odds, the wedding reception was enjoyed by all. Once the evening came to an end, guests celebrated Tori and Casey with a rose petal send off.
