shelby + nolan

From the gardens to the Greek reception, Shelby was a breathtaking beauty on her wedding day to husband Nolan. Alabama wedding photography duo Rachel and Noah Ray used a combination of digital and film wedding photography to capture every authentic sentiment in the moment. We are so excited to share a curated glimpse of Shelby and Nolan’s wedding day below!

The bridal party got ready at home, sharing a bottle of Veuve Clicquot with a custom painted champagne bottle design. The custom wedding monogram coordinated perfectly with the couple’s timeless wedding stationary by Weezie B & Sally C. Designs. Local hair and makeup artist Natalie Moore styled the bridesmaids’ hair and makeup as well as Shelby’s glam bridal waves and natural bridal makeup. We adore the tender moments shared between Shelby and her mom as the bride changed into her designer wedding dress.

Shelby’s gown perfectly combined a timeless wedding dress look with unique details personalized to her style–exactly what we are known for at Heidi Elnora Atelier. Shelby selected our Meghan Augusta fit-to-flare wedding dress, which is set off by its voluminous trumpet wedding dress skirt and horsehair hem. To customize her wedding dress, Shelby lengthened the train, added off-shoulder straps, and selected our gorgeous Miriam Bow in duchess satin–it was the perfect wedding dress with a bow! It is amazing how a few personalized details can transform a classic wedding dress into a custom bridal look! Our Katie Veil lace-trimmed wedding veil added an elegant finishing touch to Shelby’s wedding day style.

Shelby and Nolan exchanged sweet notes before meeting up for garden wedding photos with their wedding party. The modern neutral bridesmaids dresses by Bella Bridesmaids worn by Shelby’s girls looked sleek and chic next to the groomsmen’s black tuxedos. Holy Trinity + Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral made for a gorgeous church wedding venue, where the couple exchanged vows in a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony, guests entered Haven, a popular wedding venue in Birmingham, which was transformed with event drapery by D4 Events and wedding decor by Prophouse and Event Rentals Unlimited. The local wedding planning service Engaged Wedding Library brought the vendors together in beautiful harmony, creating a lovely and on-trend wedding reception. We especially love the ivy wall with a custom neon wedding sign that incorporated the couple’s married last name and showcased the scrumptious wedding cakes by Magic Muffins

While the chic wedding decor set the atmosphere for the space, the reception was brought to life with music by wedding band 2nd Coming and wedding catering by Savoie. The florals by Joy Parker carried elegantly throughout the day, from the minimalist wedding bouquets to the grand floral display adorning the band’s stage. Shelby and Nolan celebrated with their guests with traditional Greek dancing and lighted reception favors that made for incredible reception photos on film! Following a sparkler send-off, Shelby and Nolan exited the reception and entered their new chapter of married life in a classic car sporting a “Just Married” sign.

Shelby was a joy to work with, and she was so appreciative of every step of her wedding dress experience. We wish her and Nolan so much love!
