hannah + rod
Hannah and Rod’s intimate summer wedding celebrated their love with warmth and authenticity. From the elegant outdoor ceremony to the cozy reception that included the couple’s favorite board games, this midwestern wedding was perfectly captured by the bold and bright style of Indiana wedding photographer duo Dustin and Corynn Photography.
Shades of blue wove throughout the entire wedding day, from the navy blue wedding stationary suite to Hannah’s “something blue” sapphire tennis bracelet. Sweet moments were shared between Hannah and her family before she changed into her gorgeous Heidi Elnora wedding dress and prepared to walk down the aisle.
Hannah traveled from Kentucky to find her wedding dress here at Heidi Elnora Atelier. She fell in love with Dottie Taylor, a silk crepe wedding dress from the Heidi Elnora designer wedding dress collection. Understated and chic, Dottie Taylor features a bateau neckline, open lace back with buttons, and a sheer lace panel cutout on the train. Hannah personalized her dress by removing the elastic from the sleeve to transform it from a puff sleeve to a chic short sleeve lace wedding dress. Her effortless bridal updo by Haven Hart and natural glam bridal makeup by Carolyn Spencer completed her elegant wedding day look.
The lakeside ceremony took place at The Charles event venue in Fort Payne, Indiana under a charming white gazebo. The elegant spray of peach-colored roses and white hydrangeas that adorned the gazebo coordinated beautifully with Hannah’s natural wedding bouquet. The soft tones of peach and blush that wedding florist Rose's Bouquets incorporated throughout the florals was a lovely contrast to the rich blue tones featured throughout the wedding, including Rod’s clean and classic navy blue suit with cornflower blue tie.
Following a sweet outdoor ceremony, Hannah and Rod invited their guests to an intimate and casual wedding reception that encouraged everyone to dance, snap photos, and play board games while snacking on freshly popped popcorn. We love when brides incorporate nontraditional wedding elements into their big day, and this reception looked like so much fun! Hannah and Rod were even able to sneak away for a few moments throughout the night to get photos at sunset and under the twinkling night sky before a spirited sparkler send-off to cap off the evening.
Hannah was truly a joy to work with, and she looked breathtaking in her minimalist wedding dress. We are so happy to have been a part of her and Rod’s wedding day!
