Maggie and Clarkson’s garden party wedding is one of the dreamiest we’ve seen! Every detail designed by luxury wedding planner Mariée Ami bloomed with exquisite creativity from start to finish. The unique wedding photography by Clark Brewer--which included beautiful film photography--captured the day in a way that felt unique and authentic.

From the moment Maggie walked into Heidi Elnora Atelier, we knew she wanted her wedding dress to be a work of art. She worked with our team of fashion designers to create a custom wedding dress with spectacular details. We started with our Coco Marie fit-to-flare wedding dress, our most popular silhouette for its structured, figure-flattering fit. We then hand draped a custom lace design that flows organically along the bodice of the gown in an asymmetrical design. Our custom clients get to hand select each element of their gown, and Maggie chose to combine two unique laces--the delicate vine lace from our Mary-Jane Darling gown, and the on-trend 3-D flower lace from our Santa Rosa overlay. The way the three-dimensional flowers accent the lace applique work is truly artisanal.

Maggie was interested in a two-in-one wedding dress, so we also designed some custom bridal accessories for her wedding day. For her ceremony at Brookwood Baptist Church, we created a detachable wedding dress train that made a dramatic statement as she walked down the aisle. Then, for her reception, she swapped out the detachable train for a sweet ruffled peplum with a bow. This vintage-inspired wedding dress detail felt feminine, quirky, and unexpected. Best of all, each element of Maggie’s designer wedding dress tied together beautifully into a one-of-a-kind wedding day look.

The whimsical floral style of Maggie’s wedding dress translated beautifully into her wedding party as well--she mastered the curated bridesmaids dress trend! Each of Maggie’s 17 bridesmaids wore different floral ruffled bridesmaids dresses in varying shades of pink, purple, yellow, allowing each woman’s personal style to shine through. Their coordinating earrings by Adelaide Niketas Designs tied each look together, as did the fresh wedding makeup and hair by Kerri Bunn and Holly Craft. Clarkson and his groomsmen looked dapper in classic black tuxedos, as did the parents of the bride and groom. We especially love Maggie’s mom Meg’s chic blue mother of the bride dress!

After the couple said “I do” in a lovely church ceremony, they entered the most fantastical garden party wedding reception at the Country Club of Birmingham. Local wedding florist The King’s Garden transformed the space into a stunning floralscape, including flowers hanging from the ceiling, chartreuse flower boxes lining the stage, and whimsical floral centerpieces interspersed with blush pink candles. Our favorite element was the pressed flower walls that lined the stage and entryway to the reception space, making for a jaw-dropping wedding photo backdrop!

Amidst the stunning wedding florals was a tempting display of custom cocktails, food, cookies by Sweet Flo’s, and a multi-tiered white wedding cake by Magic Muffins. The incredible wedding band City Heat kept the guests on their feet all night, while wedding videographer Grant Watson captured every joyful moment. As a fun treat for their guests, Maggie and Clarkson surprised the crowd with colorful Happy Hats to wear throughout the night. Before send-off, Maggie changed into an adorable white mini dress and bridal headband and enjoyed a final dance on the dancefloor as the room exploded in confetti!
