hannah + nolan
Hannah and Nolan’s beach wedding in Destin, Florida centered on the love shared between their two families. Hannah is a former employee of Heidi Elnora Atelier, so it was particularly special to be a part of her wedding day and create her designer wedding dress!
The couple got married at Cottages by the Bay, a collection of beach cottages owned by the bride’s family. Hannah shared that on the night of her engagement, her dad revealed that he had blocked off every fall weekend so that she and Nolan could get married at the cottages. They have the special honor of being the only couple to wed at this Destin wedding venue.
Hannah and her bridesmaids got ready with help from Tease by Natalie & Make Me Up. Hairstylist Natalie created the most beautiful half-up half-down bridal hairstyle for Hannah that looked elegant, yet effortless. The makeup team at Make Me Up kept everyone’s bridal makeup natural and fresh for the seaside setting.
When it came to choosing her wedding dress, Hannah came to us with a clear idea in mind. As the former social media manager for our atelier, Hannah has seen hundreds of wedding dresses and dreamed of her own for her big day. She had always loved our Daphne Quinn crepe wedding dress–a sultry silhouette with a ruffled skirt that flares out and creates beautiful movement–and she envisioned walking down the aisle in this minimalist wedding gown.
To make the dress unique to Hannah, our lead designer Elizabeth had the perfect idea: she combined the sexy wedding dress skirt of our Daphne Quinn gown with the bodice of our Lilah Darling gown. Lilah Darling is a Chantilly lace wedding dress with delicate grosgrain ribbon straps and a low back. This custom combination has never been done before, making Hannah’s gown a one-of-a-kind wedding dress.
Hannah’s beach wedding dress was complemented by the blue bridesmaids dresses and floral print maid of honor dresses. The classic white wedding bouquets by Our Greenhouse tied in perfectly with the florals that lined the aisle and framed the wooden cross at the wedding altar. Hannah planned the wedding alongside her sister, who owns the wedding planning business Harbor District Events, and together, they brought Hannah’s vision to life.
After a heartfelt wedding ceremony, wedding photographer Birdsong Photography stole the couple away for sunset pictures at the dock before the newlyweds joined their families at their reception. The wedding tent reception featured string lights and disco balls provided by The Big Day Rentals and a delectable white wedding cake by Sweet for Sirten.
DJ Vaughn R. VanAmburg kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening, with videographer Milestones Studios capturing every fun moment for the couple’s wedding video. After a night of dancing, Hannah changed into a white mini slip dress for a couple more songs and a romantic sparkler send-off.
We are so happy to celebrate Hannah as a married woman, and she will always affectionately be our “Hannah Bug.” We love this bride and are so happy for her and Nolan!
