alexis + mason
Alexis and Mason’s Tennessee wedding felt like stepping into a fairytale. From the most magical ceremony to a spirited reception, every moment of this wedding day made us wish we were there! Tennessee wedding planner Annie Ohman did an incredible job bringing the couple’s romantic wedding vision to life.
The girls got ready in coordinating loungewear sets while the hair team of Gretchen Cambell and Rachel Berkes styled everyone’s bridal hair to perfection. Makeup artist Kendra Simpson brought out Alexis’s natural beauty with fresh and bright bridal makeup. The team at Elite Nail Germantown polished Alexis’s wedding day nails in a modern version of the French manicure.
To add an unexpected element of fun to the day, Alexis and Mason rented a wedding bounce house from Boujee Bounce and took turns bouncing with their wedding party–we absolutely love this idea! We adore how Tennessee wedding photographer Jo Darling Photography captured the candid getting ready moments with her authentic photographic style.
For her designer wedding dress, Alexis worked one-on-one with our designer Heidi Elnora to create the gown of her dreams. She envisioned a minimalist crepe wedding dress with the longest wedding dress train ever, and Heidi was thrilled to bring that vision to life. Alexis’s custom wedding dress features a plunging V-neckline and dainty spaghetti straps along with a flowing sheath skirt.
The showstopper of the bride’s wedding day look is the 10-foot silk gazar detachable train that wowed guests as Alexis walked down the aisle. For extra aisle drama, Alexis also selected a custom 14-foot long ribbon-trimmed veil that created one of the most strikingly beautiful silhouettes we’ve ever seen. We adored working with Alexis and her mom Lisa to create this one-of-a-kind wedding dress with a long train, and they truly became part of our family during the process.
The wedding party exemplified fall bridal style with a muted, yet chic color palette. The bridesmaids wore slate blue and floral bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids Birmingham, which perfectly coordinated with the blue ties and Jos. A Bank suits worn by the groomsmen. The bridal bouquets by John Mark Enterprises featured textured lamb’s ears and eucalyptus that brought a soft bohemian style to the Pinterest-worthy wedding party style.
The wedding took place at The Robinshaw, a gorgeous rustic wedding venue with sky-high ceilings and tons of natural light. By the time the ceremony was set to begin, the venue had been transformed into an enchanting site, complete with candles hanging from lush fig trees that created a canopy over the aisle. Elegant greenery and florals lined the rest of the aisle, leading to a wedding altar fireplace draped in a grand swag of florals. This is truly one of the most gorgeous wedding ceremony spaces we have ever seen, and it perfectly suited the grandeur of Alexis’s wedding gown.
After a lovely ceremony, the space transformed into a magical wedding reception completed with ivy and twinkle lights strung through the white wooden beams framing the high pitched ceilings. The rentals provided by Guy Lewis brought the space to life, with wedding videographer Attach Creative capturing every whimsical detail.
Always the fun and energetic couple, Alexis and Mason couldn’t wait to join their guests on the dancefloor. Wedding DJ Gene Jone got everyone on their feet after guests enjoyed a catered dinner by Fascinating Catering. The newlyweds took a break from dancing to cut the semi-naked wedding cake by Kipp Cakes, which was stacked high with mouth-watering cinnamon rolls.
Every moment of this wedding reception looked like a blast, and we can tell every guest had so much fun celebrating Alexis and Mason! When it came time to call it a night, guests sent off the couple with Brides of Boaz fireworks canons to end the festivities on a high note.
We are so honored that Alexis entrusted us to make her custom wedding dress at our Alabama bridal shop, and we loved creating it just for her. We are sending our love to her and Mason as they embark on married life!
