caroline + wes
Romance is in the air at Caroline and Wes’s spring wedding! This precious couple tied the knot at Rockhurst Farm, an Alabama wedding venue known for its open fields and grand oak trees. Wedding planner Becky Dedge with Seamless Weddings and Events brought the couple’s timeless wedding vision to life.
The wedding stationery by Paper Eliza featured a custom wedding monogram and set the classic wedding inspiration for the day. As Caroline got ready with her bridesmaids, the group had their wedding hair and makeup done by Emileigh Bryant. We love how Emileigh styled Caroline’s natural curls into a half up half down bridal hairstyle. The bridesmaids wore neutral high-neck bridesmaids dresses while Caroline stepped into her Heidi Elnora wedding gown.
From our first conversation with Caroline, she told us she wanted a timeless wedding dress that was also “a little funky.” We specialize in designing classic wedding gowns with unique details, and that is exactly Caroline’s style. She started with our Coco Marie figure-flattering wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and trumpet silhouette. We created custom tulle sleeves that draped off the shoulders and led into a soft tulle train in the back. For a romantic wedding dress detail, we hand appliqued our Santa Rosa 3-D floral lace along the sleeves, which added a special detail to Caroline’s customized gown. For the reception, Caroline tied the tulle streamers into a whimsical bow, transforming her gown into a wedding dress with a bow.
Wes and his groomsmen looked dapper in their classic black tuxedos, and the bridesmaids’ wedding bouquets with ribbons by Poiema Events added to the romantic southern wedding style. Complementary florals adorned the light and airy chapel at Rockhurst Farms, while a harpist serenaded guests as they entered the enchanting space.
After a touching wedding ceremony, Caroline and Wes took some “just married” photos with talented wedding photographers Eric and Jamie Photography and videographer Preston Little. They joined guests under the outdoor pavilion for a catered meal by Tre Luna and music played by DJ Breezy with Superior Sound. The whimsical wedding cake by Pen and Pastry and duck-themed groom’s cake were eye-catching under the twinkling lights of the pavilion.
The newlyweds had the best time dancing with their wedding guests as the sun set, and the night ended with a spirited confetti send-off. It was an absolute joy to create Caroline’s 3-D floral wedding dress, and we are thrilled to have been a part of her wedding day! Sending our love to her and Wes!
