mackenzie + tyler
A French country estate set the scene for Mackenzie and Tyler’s spring wedding. Classic wedding style intermixed with sentimental details made the couple’s wedding day uniquely theirs, all coordinated by Huntsville wedding planner WJ & Co. Wedding Planning.
Mackenzie and her bride squad got ready in coordinating wedding pajamas as makeup artist Cosmetics by Mackenzie styled everyone’s natural glam bridal makeup. Mackenzie’s loosely curled bridal updo by Caralee Styles looked effortlessly glamorous, which perfectly complemented her timeless wedding dress.
Oftentimes when brides start shopping for their wedding dress, they end up choosing something quite different than their original vision–not the case with Mackenzie! This fashion-loving bride had a specific vision for a glamorous wedding gown with detachable train, and our team was able to bring her exact vision to life. She started with our Coco Marie bestselling wedding gown, which features a trumpet silhouette and sweetheart wedding dress neckline. She added our Orion Skirt to make her gown a wedding dress with detachable train, which added old Hollywood-inspired drama to her bridal look. She then accented the waistband with a sparkle belt available at our Birmingham bridal boutique.
Mackenzie knew she wanted an off-shoulder wedding dress, and she couldn’t decide between our fabric panel and our sparkly Adrienne straps to complete her look… so she chose both! The bride wore the chic fabric panel as her off-shoulder element during the ceremony, which she swapped out for the party-ready sparkle straps during the reception. This subtle change transformed Mackenzie’s customized wedding dress from day to night!
With dainty pearl drop earrings from Huntsville jeweler Stratton, a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, and a tanned glow from Bronzed by Beth, Mackenzie’s elegant bridal look was complete. The white bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids and classic tuxedos from Oxford Street Menswear were the epitome of Pinterest-worthy bridal party style.
Wedding photographer Maggie McCoy with Eric and Jamie Photography captured stunning photos of the bride and groom before the ceremony, and videographer Lumpstick Productions created a wedding video we know the couple will treasure forever.
The light and airy chapel at Danclay Farms didn’t need much to beautify the tall pitched ceilings and rows of windows that invited natural light to pour in. A row of white florals and greenery along with two altar arrangements by florist Sweet Pea Floral perfectly accented this already gorgeous space.
After a joyous ceremony and striking sunset photos, the newlyweds joined their guests for a tented reception. A champagne wall and live music by Trick Zipper immediately set the scene for a spirited reception, which centered around a black and white checkered dance floor crowned by a disco ball. We adored the classic wedding cake by Jill’s Sweet Memories and Alabama-themed groom’s cake, but our favorite reception element is Mackenzie’s sparkly “Bride” hat!
The reception turned into an all-night dance party ending with the traditional wedding send-off of the bride and groom. We wish Mackenzie and Tyler all the best in this next chapter of their life. Mackenzie was so much fun to work with, and we are honored to call her a #HeidiBride!
