angel + justin

Overlooking a pasture at the couple’s home, Angel and Justin’s intimate outdoor wedding curated their love for all things vintage. Every moment was captured authentically by wedding photographer Jeffrey Palmer

Angel got ready at home with her closest family and friends, with hairstylist Shelby Kelly creating an effortless bridal updo and makeup artist Katherine Daza with Glow creating a natural bridal makeup for the bride. When Angel stepped into her custom Heidi Elnora wedding dress, all eyes were on her.

Angel visited our Birmingham bridal shop because we are known for our classic style and custom wedding dresses. With a vision for a whimsical and romantic wedding dress, Angel worked one-on-one with our designer Heidi Elnora to bring her ideas to life. She fell in love with the flowy wedding dress skirt of our Chancey Darling gown, which features a light and airy chiffon skirt with delicate pickups. Our team added a nude underlay to Angel’s gown to add a modern edge to her chic bridal look. The bodice of Angel’s dress comes from our Daphne Quinn crepe wedding dress, which features a soft scoop neck and low back. A pair of delicate drop earrings and a ribbon-trimmed wedding veil served as the perfect finishing touches for Angel’s romantic wedding day style.

The charming southern style carried through every detail of Angel and Justin’s wedding–from Justin’s stylish floral tie, to the baby’s breath flower crowns, to the ribbon poles that adorned the aisle. Angel’s mother Zoe crafted many of the wedding decorations and florals by hand with help from close family friends. The ceremony site overlooked a pasture and included rustic pews purchased from an old church in Alabaster as well as an organic floral arch at the end.

As the bride walked down the grassy aisle, violin and cello duo Sebastian & Lina serenaded guests with Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’.” The intimate wedding ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and the couple’s sweet pup! When the ceremony ended, guests exited to a rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” while the newlyweds hopped into a blue vintage Ford pickup truck to head to the reception.

The outdoor wedding reception took place under a large pavilion built by Justin and his stepfather. It set the perfect scene for a catered meal by Tre Luna and music played by DJ Chris Sarris. Angel collects vintage china, and the table settings came from her personal collection–we adore this charming detail! The classic wedding cake by Pen & Pastry fit the couple’s wedding style perfectly.

To signal the start of their new lives together, the couple celebrated by firing a cannon during the reception. Every element of the couple’s wedding showcased their unique interests, and we appreciate how personalized their special day was. Wedding planner Amanda Robbins with AMR Bridal & Events did a lovely job bringing all of these details together into one cohesive event.

The reception extended well into the night as guests enjoyed good food, drinks, dancing, and camaraderie. We are so honored that Angel chose our bridal design house to create her perfect wedding dress, and she wore it with such grace and beauty. We send her and Justin all of our love!
