anna + bailey
The manicured lawns of Pursell Farms set the elegant scene for Anna and Bailey’s classic southern wedding. With guidance from top wedding planner Christopher Confero, every detail thoughtfully celebrated the love shared between this sweet couple.
As Anna got ready with her family, she wore a custom bridal robe made by our lead designer Elizabeth. As you’ll see in a bit, Anna’s reception look was covered in pearls, and she wanted to incorporate that look into her bridal robe. We used the same scattered pearl fabric to make a lovely robe with blouson sleeves for picture-perfect getting ready moments.
Anna is a special bride to us, as we designed her sister Sara’s couture wedding dress a few years ago, and the entire family has become dear to us. When it came time for Anna’s turn down the aisle, our designer Heidi Elnora was thrilled to create something special for her big day. What made Anna’s designer wedding gown unique was her selection of overlays: Heidi designed two custom wedding dress overlays that transformed Anna’s classic wedding dress into two distinct looks for her ceremony and reception.
When choosing her Heidi Elnora gown, Anna loved the full and flowy skirt of our Penny Clark wedding dress with buttons down the back. She dreamed of an off-shoulder wedding dress wrap, and our design team custom draped a couture piece that elegantly wraps along the bodice of Anna’s gown and finishes with an asymmetrical fold in the back. Our designer Heidi loved this wrap so much that she added it to our designer wedding dress collection, lovingly naming it the “Guarisco Wrap” after the bride.
To complete her custom bridal look, Anna had her hair and makeup styled by Brittany Massey, a talented Birmingham makeup artist and friend of Heidi’s (in fact, she even has a wedding dress named after her!). Anna’s architectural wedding dress was set off beautifully by the modern orchid bridal bouquet crafted by Alabama florist Cece Floral Designs.
Bailey’s tailored checkered suit with cornflower blue tie perfectly complemented the southern wedding style. The couple shared an intimate first look before the ceremony at Hamilton Place. Framed by an oversized swag of greenery with trails of ivy climbing up the windows, the wedding altar created an organic-inspired backdrop for the couple’s vows. After they said “I do,” the newlyweds took sunset photos with Alabama wedding photography duo Rob and Wynter before joining guests at their exuberant wedding reception.
Anna’s couture wedding dress transformed into a party-ready reception wedding dress by changing her off-shoulder overlay for a custom long-sleeve overlay. The pearl wedding dress overlay featured a soft gathered skirt and blouson sleeves for a modern take on classic bridal style. Anna gave our designer Heidi complete creative control over this overlay, and the end result is gorgeous!
The reception came to life with food, drinks, and live entertainment by wedding band Professor D. Taking center stage was the clean and modern wedding cake by Sugar and Stems, which was adorned in white orchids to match Anna’s bouquet. The dance party extended well into the evening, with wedding videographer Wages Films capturing every fun moment.
We are so appreciative of Anna for trusting us to create her one-of-a-kind wedding dress, and it was a joy to work with her every step of the way. We are so excited for her and Bailey to begin married life together!
