anna + matt
Anna and Matt tied the knot with a picture perfect Birmingham wedding! Wedding planner and florist Mary Beth Rush did an incredible job of arranging a perfect day that this couple will treasure forever.
The bridal party started their day with hair and makeup by bridal beauty artists GLOW. Anna enhanced her natural beauty with a low bun bridal updo and a soft glam bridal makeup look. Anna’s bridesmaids’ blue floral pajama sets were the perfect complement to Anna’s embellished lace bridal robe. She chose to pair her wedding day look with gold wedding accessories, which popular wedding photographers Eric and Jamie beautifully photographed alongside the gold lettered wedding invitations by Gracefully Made Art.
Anna chose a classic wedding dress and modified it with modern details to make it her own. She started with our fit-to-flare wedding dress Coco Marie from our Build-A-Bride collection and changed the neckline to make her gown a wedding dress with a straight neckline. Anna wanted to have a two-in-one wedding look so that her ceremony dress would stand apart from her reception look. Anna added our Orion Skirt as a removable wedding dress train for extra drama during her ceremony, and exchanged the detachable train for a large bridal bow with long streamers for her reception. We love how Anna added this fun detail to transform her wedding dress with a bow!
The couple said “I do” at the Canterbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham. This bright church features a beautiful stained glass window behind the altar, which was the perfect backdrop for the two to exchange their vows. Even the blue halter bridesmaids dresses were a match for this stunning venue! Anna and her husband Matt celebrated their way back up the aisle before heading to their reception.
Anna and Matt’s reception at the Vestavia Country Club was simply magical. Anna removed her detachable wedding dress skirt and added her bridal bow and a pair of white statement earrings from local designer Susan Standeffer to complete her reception look. The black and white checkered dance floor brought all the guests together to boogie to the Fountain City Players all night. Wedding videographer Main Street Productions captured all the moves on film so the night could be remembered forever. Live wedding painter Sherri Arias painted the couple’s first dance as a special memento for them. The Instagram worthy photo backdrop was complete with a balloon arch and a custom neon sign. Prop House Birmingham, Decor to Adore, and PRE Event Resources provided all of the party rentals to make this evening spectacular. After cutting into their tiered wedding cake with white roses from Magic Muffins, Anna and Matt headed to their black vintage getaway car from Coats Classic Cars with a sparkler send-off.
Anna was a wonderful bride to work with! We loved helping her create her clean and classic wedding dress look and how she made it her own. Cheers to the happy couple!
