Katie and Lucas’s summer wedding day was filled to the brim with bright colors and boho accents. Their downtown Birmingham wedding captured some of our favorite spots in the city, from Railroad Park to the B&A Warehouse, where the wedding took place.

As Katie got ready with her bridesmaids at home, she changed into her gorgeous boho wedding dress, Breeze Darling from Heidi Elnora’s Hello Darling collection. This lace wedding dress with 3-D floral lace appliques is whimsical, yet modern. It features dainty spaghetti straps and a low scoop back that flows into an organza A-line wedding dress skirt. The three-dimensional lace flowers adorn the bodice and scatter down the skirt in a playful fashion.

Katie finished her boho bridal style with loose curls pulled back and adorned with baby’s breath. Her whimsical bridal earrings and sparkly wedding shoes added a hint of glamour that perfectly complemented her designer wedding dress.

To enhance the boho wedding theme, Katie’s bridesmaids curated their vintage-inspired bridesmaid dresses by selecting different dresses in an array of floral prints and shades of muted green. We love it when a bride infuses unexpected color into her wedding day, and Katie’s bold flowers by local florists Michelle and Van Johnson looked striking as wedding bouquets, plus they made for a colorful floral wedding arch for the ceremony.

The B&A Warehouse made for a beautiful rustic wedding venue for both the ceremony and reception, and the decor throughout felt inviting and intimate. At the reception, the naked wedding cake by Birmingham cake artist Daughters Bakery made a delicious statement, as did the nontraditional groom’s cake made of dessert rolls by Homewood bake shop Rolls Bakery. From the incredible food to the music by wedding entertainer DJ Sillz, the reception was just as fun as the ceremony was sentimental.

Birmingham wedding photographers Wesley and Emma captured every sweet moment between Katie and Lucas so beautifully that it makes us feel like we were there. We wish the newlyweds so much happiness as they embark on married life together!
