emily + caleb

Emily and Caleb’s vow renewal ceremony is truly one of the most magical weddings we have seen. After officially tying the knot with a small ceremony during the Covid pandemic, this couple wanted to renew their vows with a larger celebration to include their family and friends. Talented photographer Jacq Justice took photographs of every moment to remember this special day forever.

For Emily’s wedding, she knew that she wanted a dress that was completely unique to her. She came to our flagship location in Birmingham with a clear vision for a long sleeve bridal cape dress, and we helped her bring this dream to life! This one-of-a-kind wedding dress features fitted long sleeves with covered buttons to the wrists, a wrap-around front closure creating a sultry front slit, and a deep V-neckline with a bridal capelet draping around the shoulders and down to the elbows. Emily’s wedding dress was so unique that our team of seamstresses created a custom pattern and made her dress in-house at the atelier. Emily’s designer wedding dress was so loved that we recreated the sheath wedding dress cape, now known as Janet Selby, for our 15th Anniversary Collection!

Underneath the custom wedding dress overlay, the bride wore a sparkly wedding dress from our Heidi Elnora collection. This fit-to-flare wedding dress, Tiffany Nicole Beaded, features a deep V sweetheart neckline with spaghetti straps. The low cut back of this beaded wedding dress mimics the scooping beading pattern and scalloped edge, which is highlighted over a nude underlay. This embellished wedding dress was the perfect touch of shine to complete Emily’s custom wedding look.

Emily’s wedding day ensemble wasn’t complete without her handcrafted headpiece, a gold star halo from Cayla Couture. Talented hair and makeup artist Brian O'Connor emphasized Emily’s glowing bridal look with a glamorous wedding makeup look and curled bridal hairdo. No wedding look is complete without bridal nails, and Emily visited Alissa at Nashville nail salon The Lacquer Lounge for a set that would perfectly complement her wedding ring from Green Hills Diamond Brokers.

Before their ceremony at the War Memorial Auditorium, Emily and Caleb shared a sentimental first look with each other and then with their wedding party. Caleb’s groomsmen wore matching tuxes from The Black Tux, while Emily’s bridesmaids each wore a different colorful curated bridesmaid dress from Azazie. The elegant white and green silk floral bouquets from Something Borrowed Blooms paired beautifully with the bright colors.

Emily and Caleb’s dreamy ceremony was tied together with hanging twinkly lights above the altar. Guests enjoyed a seated dinner reception catered by Tennessee catering company Monell's at tables decorated by Liberty Party Rental. Reception music DJ from High Tone Entertainment played the night away before the couple cut into their art deco tiered wedding cake from Nashville Sweets. At the end of the night, Emily and Caleb exited their party with big smiles and a streamer filled send-off.

We were so honored that Emily came to us for her custom wedding dress! It was wonderful to work with such a creative bride. We wish all the best to the happy couple!
