Kristina is a bride with a beautiful spirit, and she looked stunning on her wedding day to Reggie! The love shared between these two was the centerpiece of their spring wedding, which took place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, a popular outdoor wedding venue.

Kristina wanted to feel confident on her wedding day, and she chose the Tiffany Nicole silhouette from our Build-A-Bride™ collection. Tiffany Nicole is designed as a crepe wedding dress, but Kristina upgraded her fabric to a duchess satin wedding dress with thin spaghetti straps--it is the perfect gown for a spring or summer wedding! This wedding dress with plunging neckline features illusion fabric at the center front, is fitted through the hips, and has a dramatic pleated chapel-length train in back.

To create a sparkly wedding dress, Kristina personalized her trumpet wedding dress by adding our small sparkle straps that gracefully followed the low scoop back wedding dress lines. It fit her like a glove! Kristina says, “My experience here was like none other. I had the worst experience before I came here to try on dresses; it was a beautiful experience. I wish I could do it all over again!” As a curvy bride, Kristina shared that she felt other bridal salons didn’t have wedding dresses for fuller figures, but at Build-A-Bride™, we carry samples in a variety of sizes so every bride feels confident and beautiful.

The glamorous wedding hair by Monique Carr Beauty was the perfect complement for Kristina’s classic wedding dress. Our favorite detail is the crystal bridal hair comb she incorporated into Kristina’s short bridal hairstyle--it feels reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour! Birmingham makeup artist Meeka Lewis styled Kristina’s wedding makeup beautifully with a bold eye and nude lip. One of our favorite bridal trends is the wedding day denim jacket, and of course Kristina’s sported “Griffin” in honor of her new last name!

At a garden wedding venue surrounded by flowers, it is only natural that Kristina’s wedding florals needed to stand out. She carried an orchid wedding bouquet in a vibrant shade of fuschia that perfectly matched Reggie’s boutonniere. The wedding florals were done by local florist Jean’s Flowers and complemented Kristina and Reggie’s classic, yet modern wedding day looks.

The indoor wedding ceremony featured dramatic lighting and modern wedding decor by local wedding vendor Decor to Adore. Both the white wedding cake and chocolate groom’s cake made delicious statements at the wedding reception.
