Maci and Trey’s modern wedding was black, white, and chic all over! Birmingham wedding planner Becky’s Brides did a fabulous job bringing the couple’s unique wedding theme to life, while local wedding photographer AL Weddings captured every detail beautifully.

The striking wedding invitations by Gracefully Made Art and wedding calligraphy by Amber Calligraphy set the stage for this crisp black and white wedding. This Birmingham wedding took place at Regions Field, home of the Birmingham Barons minor league baseball team and a popular event venue with amazing views.

To match the drama of the wedding venue, Maci chose a classic wedding dress with architectural details. She wore the Coco Marie sweetheart wedding dress from our Build-A-Bride™ collection, then added our Benton Bow, a voluminous bridal bow that features three tiers of beautiful peplums and streamers. This made for the perfect wedding dress with bows because the peplum tiers can be worn down or up--as Maci chose to style her bow--to create a dramatic wedding dress silhouette.

For her “something blue,” Maci incorporated a sweet family wedding tradition: a hand-stitched message from her mom in blue thread along the inside hem of her wedding dress. Speaking of mom, Maci’s mother looked beautiful in her ruffled off-shoulder Mother of the Bride dress in a classic slate blue. Maci’s friends wore grey bridesmaids dresses that were just right for this black and white wedding, while the groomsmen sported monogrammed cuff links. The wedding party got ready at the Elyton Hotel, a stunning historic hotel in downtown Birmingham.

Maci’s timeless wedding makeup and wedding hair were styled by Hair and Makeup by Nat, and for an extra dose of glamour, Maci wore gold Gucci wedding shoes and crystal Kendra Scott bridal earrings with her wedding look. We adore a designer wedding shoe moment!

Both the indoor wedding ceremony and wedding reception were styled in a way that felt modern, yet grand. From the towering square vases filled with sprays of crisp white orchids to the custom neon wedding sign photo booth, this designer wedding reception surprised us with unexpected details around every corner. We adore the flowers and disco balls hanging from the ceiling as well--this is a popular wedding trend that we can’t get enough of! Birmingham florist Hot House Design Studio truly delivered on the grand wedding flowers! The space wouldn’t be complete without the collaborative efforts of local wedding vendors PropHouse, Decor to Adore, and Onsite Productions for the modern event rentals, drapery, and lighting.

As Birmingham wedding videographer Ivory House Media captured the energy of the wedding reception, wedding band Platinum Entertainment kept the wedding guests on their feet. To top it all off, Birmingham cake artist Barb’s Cakes created a custom wedding cake that matched the design of Maci’s wedding dress bow!

The fun-filled evening ended with a baton performance by Maci and her friends, followed by an epic wedding send-off with a fireworks display. The newlyweds rode off in style in a classic car provided by Rare Transportation.
