The beautiful landscape of Matthews Manor set the scene for Emily and Eugene’s stunning outdoor wedding in Birmingham, Alabama. The soft blue tones mixed with natural elements gave wedding photographer Abby Bates Photography the perfect backdrop to capture the couples dream wedding day.

Emily knew exactly what she was looking for when it came to her wedding day and especially her wedding dress. Emily wanted a unique bridal gown that showcased her personal style. Our designer Heidi Elnora, helped to bring Emily’s vision to life by taking two of our designer wedding dresses and customizing them (LeeLoo Dallas + MayMay Cates) to create a one-of-a-kind wedding dress. Long sleeve wedding dresses with interesting backs have always been one of our favorite looks and Emily pulled it off.

The team at Matthews Manor created a whimsical bridal bouquet with pops of color including shades of pink, green, and dusty blue flowers. The blue wedding theme continued with the groom Eugene, wearing a tailored suit from Mr. Burch and the bridesmaids wearing different color bridesmaid dresses in shades of blue. The flower girl and ring bearer made the wedding day that much sweeter!

The couple shared an intimate first look before the ceremony while exchanging letters written to one another. This wedding detail and many others can be seen throughout Emily and Eugene’s whimsical wedding day. The reception came to life with food, drinks, wedding dance music and the couple’s engagement hashtag #allnightchong - the neon sign behind their wedding cake. The dance party extended well into the evening as the couple and their guest danced the night away!

We are so appreciative of Emily for trusting us to create her one-of-a-kind wedding dress, and it was a joy to work with her every step of the way. We are so excited for her and Eugene to begin married life together!
