laura + adam

Laura and Adam’s wedding was a beautiful occasion to remember in Tuscaloosa, Alabama! The couple held their reception at First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa, a local church in Tuscaloosa. The day was captured by a local Birmingham photographer Meghan Murphy, and the story was recorded by SouthEast based videographer Amber Ridge. Their cake was from Elie Crew, a Tuscaloosa baker, and it looked delicious! From their first look to the send off, the day was special in every way! Moments including Laura giving Adam a letter from 2007 that she wrote to her “future [and now forever] husband” on their would-be wedding date, July 14, and playing a piano duet together made their wedding day magical.

Laura designed a custom wedding dress made up of Build-A-Bride™’s Coco Marie silhouette combined with the neckline of the Brittany Massey gown. Coco Marie is a trumpet wedding gown that features princess seams, a natural waist, low-back, and a chapel length train. Brittany Massey, a sweetheart v-neckline wedding dress that draws attention up and highlights the beautiful features of the face, is a Build-A-Bride™ favorite. The combination of these two beautiful silhouettes created a totally custom Build-A-Bride™ wedding gown! Laura’s Build-A-Bride™ experience was special because she added details of illusion and lace from her mother’s dress. In Laura’s words, “Heidi sketched my dress design, adding in lace from my mother's wedding gown.  It was always a dream of mine to be able to incorporate my mom's wedding dress into my own. Heidi and the Atelier made that dream come a reality!” The Heidi Elnora Atelier crafted this customized wedding gown and Birmingham, Alabama alterations, Hollow to Hem, made it fit just perfectly!

We are so grateful to have played a part in what made this day such an enchanting experience for this incredible couple!
