allison + hammond
Unmistakable joy emanated from Allison and Hammond’s summer wedding in Birmingham. From beginning to end, talented wedding photographer Kristen Pugh captured the couple’s precious love through her authentic photographic lens.
Allison got ready in a historic family home with her loved ones, bridesmaids, and of course the family dog. The girls wore coordinating blue bridesmaids pajamas, while Allison wore white lacy bridal pajamas and a matching robe. Emily Summerville from The Nook styled everyone’s hair and makeup to perfection; we especially love Allison’s chic bridal chignon, which complemented her Heidi Elnora wedding gown.
It was such a pleasure working with Allison at our Birmingham bridal shop. She loved how we exclusively carry our own designs, so she didn’t have to worry about hundreds of other brides wearing the same gown as her. She instantly fell in love with our Talia Jo satin crepe wedding gown, an elegant strapless wedding dress with pearls along the neckline. In the back, delicate ruching follows the low back, which leads to an understated satin wedding dress bow.
To personalize her timeless wedding dress, Allison changed the neckline to the slightly scooped neckline of our Anna Beth gown–a subtle tweak that made the dress perfect for Allison. Our atelier team helped Allison style her entire bridal look, including her dainty bridal earrings from Sara Gabriel and our most popular veil–our Clean Edge Chapel Veil–both of which are available at our top-rated bridal shop in Alabama.
Allison’s sleek wedding gown was set off by the equally chic bridal party style. Her bridesmaids wore minimalist bridesmaid dresses in an icy shade of blue, while Hammond and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos. Florist Suzanne Martenson at Stems and Styles created elegant wedding bouquets, which featured a stunning combination of white orchids and greenery adorned with trailing ribbons.
When it came time for the ceremony, the wedding party convened at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, where Allison and Hammond exchanged vows. Then, they joined their guests for their wedding reception at The Club, where they enjoyed dinner, live music by Emerald Empire Band, and wedding cakes by Magic Muffins. Wedding planner Megan Wyatt did an incredible job of carrying Allison and Hammond’s style through every detail of their wedding day. After a night of dancing, the newlyweds enjoyed a rose petal send-off ending with a ride in a classic car.
Allison was such a kind and genuine bride to work with, and we are overjoyed to have been part of her wedding day. We are sending our love to her and Hammond!
